Christopher Styiring

Christopher is a lead within EY's Sports, Events & Venues practice. He moved over to EY as a result of the acquisition of Sweeney Research in November 2014 where he headed up the Sports & Entertainment division of EY Sweeney (Strategy, Commercial and Research Services). Previously he held the position of Group Manager - Sponsorship, Events and Motorsport at Ford Motor Company running the brands full V8 Supercar program across 5 teams. He has also worked at Tennis Australia and Richmond Football Club in senior commercial roles.


For 10 years Christopher was Head of Sponsorship and Commercial Partnerships for the WilliamsF1 Team based in Oxfordshire, UK. Over this decade he was the key relationship lead with engine supplier BMW AG and key liaison to the FIA and FOM as well as major team partners.


Over his 20 plus years in the sports and entertainment industry, he has worked with some of the world's best known brands including BMW, Ford, RBS, HP, Lacoste, Rolex & Rip Curl.


During his time at leading AFL team Richmond Football Club, he was a key member of the core group that developed the "Dreamtime at the G” Richmond VS Essendon Marquee round, worked closely with the AFL to deliver game development at grassroots level and was instrumental in changing the way the team utilised the playing group.


Chris has extensive global experience in marketing communications, sponsorship, major global event feasibility and evaluation, commercial strategy, broadcast negotiations, qualitative research and has formerly held Board positions with Equestrian Australia and Karting Australia.
